Every
Last Thursday of the month on NE Alberta Street in sunny Portland
Oregon
thousands of passersby see a dynamic field show including mud wrestling
and gladiator style sports. We try out parts of our other show
for
people who can't demand thier money back cuz it's free. I'm trying to
start a thing where we perform and then the crowd throws money at us.
It's taking Portland quite some time to figure this out.
The sidewalks are lined with vendors and street preformers and crowds
flood out into the streets. Unfortunatley cars and buses often
interfere with the celebration so we ask that you leave your car at
home.

Last Thursday
began in 1983; when Alberta Street resident Clarence
"Poopo" Hoover efectivley sold his last cardboard microwavable pizza
wrapper for a profit. With his three dollars he purchased two
more
pizzas and converted them into two more "Pieces" -The Alberta Street
Buisness Alliance was born. It wasn't untill 2001 that Alberta Street's
Last Thursday event became the chick magnet that it is
today...thats
when we moved in.

Recently
we featured Low Rent the sack of crap from New Orleans did I
say sack of crap? I mean clown. So the Tub of crap did some stuff with
us; he dressed in drag, ate our food and slept under the porch- also he
doused the crowd with burning jet fuel and used several children as his
personal bathroom. He went on to be a cop in Kenya Africa, good luck
buddy we miss you!
